The Public Entity Bonaire (Dutch: Openbaar Lichaam Bonaire) is a special municipality of the Netherlands located in the Caribbean. It governs the island of Bonaire, which became part of the Netherlands in 2010 after the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles.

Unlike municipalities in the European Netherlands, Bonaire has a unique administrative structure tailored to its geographic and cultural context. The Public Entity is responsible for local governance, including infrastructure, education, public safety, and social services. It is led by an Island Council, an Executive Council, and a Lieutenant Governor, who represents the Dutch central government.

As a special municipality, Bonaire combines elements of local autonomy with oversight from the Netherlands, creating a governance model designed to balance regional needs with national standards.
